The SOS Mamelodi village provides alternative care to 80 children in 15 family houses, and a local foster care family.

More than 250 children benefit from the Family Strengthening Programme. Mamelodi residents eat, drink and breathe soccer and many SOS youngsters dream of playing for their famous team, the Mamelodi Sundowns. The community has seen an increase in unemployment over the years.
